An experiment in minimalist, loop-based composition.
Created during a three day musical binge from various of off-the-shelf sample CD’s and a few software synthesizers in Ableton Live, Hexophilia gained fame as the soundtrack to a popular puzzle game. Special thanks to Entrances to Hell for song titles and inspiration.
A sonic glimpse into the mind of a fictional resident of a nineteenth-century mental asylum.
Inspired by the philosophy and architecture of famed nineteenth-century Philadelphia psychiatrist, Thomas Story Kirkbride, Urbex presents a disjointed glimpse into the mind of the patient–safely within the orderly confines of his compositional restraints.
A free-form collaboration between percussionist Ahmad Yousefbeigi, multi-instrumentalist Bill Wolford and bassist Jerry Schroeder, Yesod’s Improvisations Series is documentation of the raw creative process: the act of individuals learning to critically listen and play together in an improvisational setting. Rather than stress over slight missteps, an occasional flubbed note or unexpected direction changes, Yesod approach the activity of creating music on an entirely subconscious level—letting emotions and influences of a given moment dictate the form and function of the end product.
